Cutroom turns a long Taglish take into one finished video on your iPhone. Most questions are about what it needs and where your work lives, so those come first.
What you need
An iPhone running iOS 18.0 or later. Cutroom is built and validated for the iPhone; iPad is not supported yet.
Getting a take in
Import several clips at once from Photos or Files. If a clip is still downloading from iCloud, Cutroom waits for it before it starts.
Why the first run downloads something
The first time you use captions, the first time you clean up the voice, and the first time you run filler detection, the app downloads what that stage needs before it can start. Those stages then run on the phone.
Keep the app open while it works
Processing runs in the foreground with progress for each stage, and you can cancel it. Background execution is not reliable, so a stage that gets interrupted starts again — your edits and the stages that already finished are kept.
Undoing a cut
Nothing is applied on its own. Suggestions arrive dimmed: preview one, keep it, or cut it. Any cut you applied can be restored, and those decisions survive closing the app. Undo also steps back through the current session.
Captions after an edit
Reordering clips, or trimming or splitting one, makes existing captions stale. Cutroom warns you before that happens, and a regenerated transcript replaces your corrections only after it succeeds.
If an export fails
The finished file is kept rather than discarded, so you can try saving to Photos or sharing it again. Your original recordings are never changed.
